Butte Beginnings

We have been here nearly ten months now, and God has been showing us much about Butte and the spiritual climate/geography here. I'm trying to start writing these things down. It may be that when the Lord brings our team together it will be a useful training tool.

About 18-20 years ago when, we were living here the first time, we attended a small Vineyard church. Our pastor shared a vision he saw (while driving into town from the west) of the local strongman standing on the East Ridge, surveying the city. I do not know the name of this local strongman, but greed and vice of all kinds are very active in Butte. I also know that it feeds on misery and that it is very proud of its power over this city.

Father, I pray for those whom you have chosen to be partners with us in this work in Butte. Prepare them for the warfare that is ahead. Help them with their daily lives right now and make a place for them in Butte. Go before them, make their paths straight and keep their way secret from the enemy.  Bring them to us soon, Lord.  Amen.
