Roots of Evil

 The dark angelic majesty that rules over Butte has its roots deep in the mountains that surround us.  It sucks the treasure out of our ground – treasure that God placed here during creation, intending it for good – and twists its purpose.  Instead of producing the good things that God intended, it illegitimately uses it to produce greed, corruption, violence, pollution, and all sorts of human misery.  The time is coming when God is going to pluck this fallen angel from its place, pulling it out by its roots.  At that time the treasure of Butte will be restored to its intended purpose.

The timing of this event must be perfect.  We must not try to jump ahead of God.  Have you ever reached down to pull a carrot from the garden only to have it break, leaving half of it in the ground?  If you want to be successful at harvesting carrots, you must first take the time to loosen the ground around them.  If you do that first it will be easy to lift them out and shake off the dirt.  Of course, carrots are good things, destined for the table.  However, even as we don't want to leave carrot roots in the ground, neither do we want to leave broken roots of darkness in the ground of Butte.  All must be cleansed.  This makes it more important than ever that we let the Lord -- our General -- direct our battle.  It is vital that we carry out our assigned tasks to completion.
